When you purchase Soothe Organic USDA Certified Organic CBD products, you can be sure that the raw materials used were grown in a way that meets strict standards and is lab-tested for confirmation. We start with our proprietary strain of PCR (phytocannabinoid rich) hemp plant that contains up to 10x the amount of CBD compared to generic industrial hemp. The following is an overview of how our process works—and why it matters.
Flower Processing
Harvested organic cannabis flowers (buds) are dried and placed in a climate-controlled environment until they are ready to use. The flower goes through a milling process involving grinding the plant material into a fine powder. The powder is then sent through an extraction process to extract cannabinoids from the plant material.
USDA Proprietary Extraction
The process begins with the USDA proprietary extraction, a separation method that uses water and CO2. This method allows for the extraction of CBD without any residual solvents. The next step is purification which uses various filtration methods to remove any impurities from the extracted CBD. The result is pure CBD with less than 0.3% THC and no wax pesticide or fats available for use in your product.
THC Removal for Broad Spectrum Products
The removal of THC for broad spectrum products is done by passing the organic hemp oil through an activated carbon column, removing all THC traces. The result is free of any THC and ready for use in your broad spectrum products.
Testing
The CBD extract is then sent to an ISO-certified laboratory for USDA certification, where it undergoes testing for pesticides, heavy metals, mold, and other microbiological contaminants. Once certified as organic and free of pollutants, the CBD extract can be packaged and sold as USDA certified organic CBD.
